About the role
We're a small team building Advisor, the software finance teams at large companies use to ask hard questions about their numbers and get answers they can act on, without waiting on analysts or consultants. Delivery is where the product meets a client's real data and real workflows. We work across energy, telecom, pharma, industrials and retail, and haven't lost a client yet.
Today, every client gets its own ETL. We've started pulling the common parts into shared tools, but there's a long way to go, and that's the heart of this role: keep doing the client data work, and build the shared tools so each new client takes less work than the last. Most of this job is code and data, with a smaller slice of time in the room with the finance teams who use what you build.
Being honest about the stage
We're small and moving fast. It's a flat team, so you'd work directly with the founding team, close to the decisions. You'd own whole clients rather than a slice of one, and you'd be in front of enterprise finance teams in weeks, not quarters. It's a lot to hold for one person. If that reads as opportunity rather than warning, we should talk. We move fast, but we build for the long run, and we want people who'll still be here in a few years.
Show up to it and there's room to go a long way: into owning how we onboard data across every client, or into leading the people who do it.
What you'll do
- ·Own a client's rollout end to end, and be the person they trust to get it right
- ·Make the calls on how to model a client's data, and write the clean Python that loads it
- ·Turn per-client code into shared tools, so each new client takes less work than the last
- ·Build a client-specific piece when the standard product doesn't cover it
- ·Fix small issues in the product code yourself, and hand bigger ones to engineering with clear steps to reproduce
- ·Mentor the delivery engineers coming up, and help set how we do delivery
What we're looking for
- ·Around 5 years in delivery, implementation, data, or solutions engineering
- ·Strong with SQL, solid in Python
- ·At home in real-world data: CSV, Excel, APIs, cleaning and checking it until it's right
- ·You explain things clearly, to engineers and to non-technical people
- ·You've owned client rollouts before and made the judgment calls yourself
- ·Fluent in Portuguese and English
Nice to have
- ·Experience in finance, FP&A, or around ERP and EPM systems
- ·Led delivery for enterprise clients
- ·Solid data engineering practices
