About the role
We're a small team building Advisor, the software finance teams at large companies use to ask hard questions of their own numbers — forecasts, cost analysis, why a figure moved — and get answers they can act on, without waiting on analysts or consultants. We work across energy, telecom, pharma, industrials and retail, and haven't lost a client yet.
On a team this size, you own systems, not tickets, from the first design to the thing running in production. You'll take a problem from a rough idea to something clients rely on, deploy and run your own work, make the architectural calls and write down why, and sit with clients and the product team to turn what you hear into good engineering.
Being honest about the stage
We're small and moving fast. It's a flat team, so you'd work directly with the founding team, close to the decisions. You'll touch the whole product rather than a narrow slice, you'll have real say over where it goes, and you'll ship things in front of enterprise clients in weeks, not quarters. It's a lot of surface area for one person. If that reads as opportunity rather than warning, we should talk. We move fast, but we build for the long run, and we want people who'll still be here in a few years.
Show up to it and there's room to go a long way: into the hardest problems, or into leading the people solving them.
What you'll do
- ·Take a problem from a rough idea to something clients rely on, and stay responsible for it after it ships
- ·Deploy and run your own work
- ·Make the architectural calls, write down why, and set the standard for the engineers around you
- ·Sit with clients and the product team, and turn what you hear into good engineering
- ·Work across the forecasting engine, the agent that turns plain-English questions into product actions, live external data signals, client data ingestion, or client environment provisioning — whichever needs you most
What we're looking for
- ·Around 5 years shipping production web apps
- ·Strong on the back end and comfortable on the front
- ·You deploy your own work: Docker, CI/CD, a Linux box that misbehaves. We use Ansible, and infra-as-code in anything transfers
- ·PostgreSQL past the ORM — you can read a query plan and fix the slow one
- ·You've owned real systems end to end and made calls that held up
- ·You explain things clearly, to engineers and to people who've never seen your code
- ·Fluent in Portuguese and English
Nice to have
- ·Experience with FastAPI, React, or Elasticsearch
- ·Exposure to forecasting, financial data, or agentic LLM systems
